This movie is similar to Twilight as it is set in a world where vampires and humans coexist. It follows the story of a human girl who is a dhampir, or half-vampire. She's training to become a vampire hunter (or Guardian), but she finds herself having to protect her mentor from being killed by an evil vampire.

The main character Rose Hathaway (played by Zoey Deutch) has been trained since childhood to become one of these Guardians, but she doesn't have any real experience yet when she's sent away from her home at St Vladimir's Academy in order to help in protecting Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry). Lissa is heir apparent to becoming queen of vampires due to her royal lineage; however, there are other factions out there who want her dead so they can take over leadership and move forward with their plans for peace between humans and vampires.

This is another movie that book lovers will appreciate as this movie, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is based on the book series by Cassandra Clare. It was released in 2013 and since has been loved by Twilight fans. The movie follows Clary Fray, who discovers that she is a Shadowhunter, a warrior with angelic powers fighting against demons and other creatures in New York City. She goes on an adventure to find her missing mother and learns more about her past along the way. When you dive into this one, you will be able to enjoy Irish legend Rob Sheehan and goddess Lily Collins on your screen, enough said!

The Host is about a parasitic alien race that takes over human bodies. The main character, Melanie Stryder, has been taken over by one of these aliens but retains her consciousness within the body. She tries to escape with her boyfriend Jared Howe but he gets killed before they can do so. Melanie then meets Ian O'Shea who helps her get away from the aliens and leads her to his family where she meets Maggie who becomes one of Melanie's closest friends. Eventually, it becomes clear that Maggie wants more than friendship with Ian which causes him problems with both Maggie and Melanie because she still loves Jared even though he's dead now. A love triangle forms between all three characters as well as between Ian and Jared's brother Jamie (who was also taken over by an alien), complicating things even further for everyone involved!

The movie is about a zombie who falls in love with a human girl. It's also a comedy, so you'll have plenty of laughs throughout the film. The story follows R (Nicholas Hoult) as he tries to understand his new emotions and thoughts as he attempts to live life as a human after being turned into an undead monster. It's got tons of action and romance, but it's also got some serious moments that will make you cry because it's so beautiful!
