Watching tv shows based on movies can be a super fun way to explore your favorite films in new ways! TV Show #1: Fargo

Since its 2014 launch, Fargo, which is an adaptation of the 1996 Fargo movie has been a huge success among fans. Fargo will certainly keep you on your toes, and you can expect something different from each season with each one taking place at a different time and location. To give you a taste, for example, the first season is set in Minnesota and South Dakota in the 2000s, while the newer season brings us back to the 1950s. You can also expect a new cast for each season, so if you tend to get hooked on a character, make sure to remember your time with them is limited! Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, and Chris Rock are just a few of the great actors that you can expect to see in the 1996 Fargo adaptation.

There is a high chance that “Teen Wolf” may have crossed your radar at some point in the last few years with the show creating a large fan base of fanatics. If you happened to miss the craze, the American supernatural teen drama tv show is loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name. The show’s central storyline follows Scott McCall who is a regular high school student…until he isn’t. Scott finds himself turning into a werewolf after being bitten by a wolf just before he started the second year of his high school journey. Once your regular, everyday high school student, Scott is now trying to navigate his life as a completely different being and trying to find his identity.

Bates Motel was inspired by the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock horror movie of the same name. If you are a fan of horror, thriller, or psychological series, then out of all tv shows based on movies, this one is for you. Norman Bates' life gets out of hand as he deals with devastating mental health issues, and only has his mother to protect him from the big, bad, scary world. This suspenseful, captivating story of a mother and son’s complex relationship will have you on the edge of your seat. It is advised to check out its age rating before you watch it with your family!

M*A*S*H is not only one of the most highly rated tv shows that is based on a movie, but is one of the highest-rated tv shows in American television history! This show is a war drama that follows the lives of different divisions of staff, such as doctors and hospital staff during the Korean War. This show is renowned for how it beautifully captures the human element of war while incorporating humor and personality that was loved by all (and still is!)
